Description
Expanded Clay Pebbles – aka LECA or Hydroton(Hydroballs). Expanded Clay Pebbles is a light weight, inert, clay aggregate. It is an organic, sustainable material which is shaped into balls, and then fired in an oven at about 650 -800 degrees Celsius. The little balls then puff up into air filled pebbles 9-12mm in size and are a very unique hydroponic and aquaponic growing medium. Growers love them because they have a good balance between air and moisture, easy to use and reusable for many grows to come.
